General information
General information
Cambria, or multi-genus hybrids, have a long history that includes orchids all over the world. Behind this name are over 100 genera that have been crossed with each other. Due to the enormous diversity, no two varieties are the same. There are small and large flowers, bright and subtle colors, some even with a subtle scent. It is not uncommon for the flower patterns to look so beautiful that you would think someone had painted them with a brush. Cambria are therefore definitely one of the most diverse genera that the orchid world has to offer!
care instructions
care instructions
Like all orchids, Cambria prefers a bright place without direct sunlight. They feel most comfortable at temperatures between 16-20°C. Before watering, the substrate should be slightly dry; waterlogging and extreme dryness should be avoided. If the bulbs are wrinkled, you can water them more often. Fertilize twice a month during the growing season from March to September. The Cambria should be repotted every two years.
Cambria can produce a new flower shoot 1-2 times a year. To do this, a so-called new shoot grows on an existing bulb. When this is mature, the lower part thickens and a new bulb develops. During this period, a new flower shoot also develops. When the flower spike has dried out after it has finished flowering, it can be cut off.
