FAQs
Blattpost is distinguished by a combination of exclusive, carefully selected plants and self-developed care concepts. We offer not only in-depth insights into the world of the orchid family and foliage plants, but also innovative products like Cocoon Orchids, which were specially developed for easy plant care at home.
As a family business, "Hassinger Orchideen," with decades of experience in plant breeding, we place great value on quality, sustainability, and impressive results. Our passion for plants and our commitment to making this beauty accessible to everyone is why we're seeking to connect with you through Blattpost.
All of our plants grow in our own greenhouses in Nettetal, Germany. We also pack and ship the plants nationwide with DHL from Monday to Thursday. Please also visit our "About Us" page. Under the FAQ section "Meet Us in Person," you can learn more about our factory sales or our big open day at the nursery in June.
For a general overview, we have our plant finder, which you should try out. We've also categorized our plants into "easy-care" and "challenging" to give you an idea.
We develop our concepts with two goals in mind: We want your plant to have the optimal conditions, while maintaining them with ease and minimal effort. With our ferns, Corkios, and Cocoon Orchids, it's super easy to tell when the plant needs watering again, yet the plant still has the conditions it needs to thrive in your home. Many of these plants require more specific conditions and would be very difficult to care for at home without glass, a permeable pot, or a water reservoir. Therefore, many of these treasures will never be found in stores and therefore aren't even familiar with them 😊.
Even if you're already more confident and have a lot of plants at home, we're sure to have something you don't yet have in your collection with our "challenging" plants.
There can be various reasons for this. The most common is that the plants are not currently flowering or need to grow back into their new home in our nursery. All of our plants are established, mature plants and not young plants. Alternatively, we have listed most items as "non-flowering," if that's an option for you. Then you can have these plants at home before the next flowering season and guide them through their flowering process yourself. If you're looking for something specific, you can always contact us via chat or email.
The easiest way is to subscribe to our newsletter and stay up to date with the latest news from our greenhouse. Of course, we'd also be happy if you visited us regularly or followed us on Facebook or Instagram. You can also contact us, and we'll try to get in touch with you personally when we have the first flowering plants.
We would be happy to advise you if you did not find a suitable answer among the frequently asked questions.
